Waterfowl Rescue Organizations
Duck Rescuers are organizations that rescue abandoned or injured waterfowl. Some will take only wild or only domestic. Each is different.
Below is a list recommended by two rescue organizations. For a complete list with over 200 rescuers listed, go to the Duck Rescue Network. You must register but it also has information on housing, veterinarians, etc.
At its inception some ten years ago, Angel's Gate cared for animals relinquished by their human companions or by shelters because of medical reasons.
The animals came to Angel's Gate to live out their lives. Since then, Angel's Gate has expanded its purpose to include working with physically challenged animals.
In 2000 Angel's Gate became a wildlife rehabilitation center as well. Location: NY

Carolina Waterfowl Rescue
Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is a non profit waterfowl rescue operating in parts of North and South Carolina. It is run by federally licensed, volunteer, wildlife rehabilitators and can accept wild and domestic waterfowl for rescue, rehab or adoption placement. Location: NC
Ching Farm Rescue and Sanctuary
The Ching Farm Rescue and Sanctuary was founded by Faith and Mike Ching in Utah in 1998 and became incorporated as the Ching Farm Rescue on 9-11-02.

Duck Haven, Inc.
Florida's only humane rescue organization dedicated to Muscovy Ducks only! A registered non-profit organization that has been rescuing, rehabilitating, healing,
and tending to injured and abandoned Muscovies for 30 years. Location: FL
Duck Lover's Adoptions
DLA promotes responsible and proper care, raising and feeding of all waterfowl. They provide educational materials and programs for proper care,
housing and feeding as well as adoption services for ducks and geese that are abandoned, endangered or just in need of a new home due to circumstances
beyond their control. Location: CA
Duck Rescue Network
Duck Rescue Network's mission is to find help for orphaned and injured waterfowl, network wildlife rehabilitators and duck rescue groups,
help rehabbers find homes for non-releasable and domestic waterfowl and offer a place to go for care and health information as well as adoption placement.

In 1986, Gene and Lorri Bauston found a living sheep abandoned on a stockyard "deadpile." They rescued the sheep, named her Hilda, and created Farm Sanctuary.
Within ten years, Farm Sanctuary became the nation's largest farm animal rescue and protection organization. Location: NY
Grateful Acres Animal Sanctuary (GAAS) (Email Contact)
Grateful Acres Animal Sanctuary (GAAS) is an organization run out of Otsego, Michigan. They have been operating since 1993 and provide lifetime care for
displaced or retired farm animals. GAAS specializes in caring for elderly, handicapped, and "special needs" animals, including ducks and geese. Location: MI
Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary Inc.
Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary Inc. is a non-profit (501c3) organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and adopts out abused, abandoned,
and neglected farm animals such as horses, ponies, pigs, hogs, chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, and cattle.
We provide the rescued animals with medical care, clean and safe housing, and as much TLC as possible.
We work in cooperation with a variety of other rescue groups, both local and out of state, to network and help find homes for the rescued farm animals.
The Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary

The Lily Sanctuary
The Lily Sanctuary is a non-profit 501(c)(3) parrot rescue whose sole purpose is to provide quality care and love for homeless and "special needs" parrots.
They also help periodically with local waterfowl rescue efforts. Location: CA
Majestic Waterfowl Sanctuary
Majestic Waterfowl Sanctuary is a non profit 501c(3) organization located in Lebanon CT. They are driven by two powerful goals: to rescue,
rehabilitate and re-home abandoned domestic ducks and geese and to provide a valuable online resource to families that include pet ducks and geese.

Mt Holly Duck Sanctuary
Mt Holly Duck Sanctuary is a non-profit 501(c)(3) domestic duck rescue organization. Location: OH.
Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary
Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary is a 400 acre non-profit refuge for farm animals and wildlife located in Poolesville, Maryland. Location: MD
SASHA (Sanctuary and Safe Haven for Animals) Farm
is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and the mid-west's largest farm animal sanctuary. They not only provide food and water, veterinary care and a roof
over their heads, they also give the animal residents lots of love, social interaction with others of their own species, and a sense of security. Location: MI
Tara Farm Rescue
Located in Coventry, Connecticut, the Tara Farm Rescue was started in 1982 by Bonnie Jeanne Gorden who has dedicated her life to easing the suffering of animals.
Originally started as a home for unwanted horses, Tara Farm Rescue has expanded and now unwanted, neglected and abused cows, pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats,
dogs and cats are taken in, rehabilitated, and when possible, placed in adoptive homes. Location: CT
