Alamogordo Rescue - Adoption, Rehabilitation & Sanctuary
The mission of ADR is to provide a safe environment for all kinds of pets but the main focus lies in homeless seniors and special needs animals like dogs, cats, pet rats, chickens and ducks. ADR has no paid employees or government assistance and is run by an all volunteer staff.
Intakes/owner surrenders are limited but assistance in rehoming animals in the area can be provided.

Angel's Gate
At its inception some ten years ago, Angel's Gate cared for animals relinquished by their human companions or by shelters because of medical reasons. The animals came to Angel's Gate to live out their lives. Since then, Angel's Gate has expanded its purpose to include working with physically challenged animals. In 2000 Angel's Gate became a wildlife rehabilitation center as well. Location: NY

Carolina Waterfowl Rescue
Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is a non profit waterfowl rescue operating in parts of North and South Carolina. It is run by federally licensed, volunteer, wildlife rehabilitators and can accept wild and domestic waterfowl for rescue, rehab or adoption placement. Location: NC

Farm Sanctuary
In 1986, Gene and Lorri Bauston found a living sheep abandoned on a stockyard "deadpile." They rescued the sheep, named her Hilda, and created Farm Sanctuary. Within ten years, Farm Sanctuary became the nation's largest farm animal rescue and protection organization. Location: NY

Grateful Acres Animal Sanctuary (GAAS) is an organization run out of Otsego, Michigan. They have been operating since 1993 and provide lifetime care for displaced or retired farm animals. GAAS specializes in caring for elderly, handicapped, and "special needs" animals, including ducks and geese. Location: MI

Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary Inc.
Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary Inc. is a non-profit (501c3) organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and adopts out abused, abandoned, and neglected farm animals such as horses, ponies, pigs, hogs, chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, and cattle. We provide the rescued animals with medical care, clean and safe housing, and as much TLC as possible. We work in cooperation with a variety of other rescue groups, both local and out of state, to network and help find homes for the rescued farm animals. Location: OH

SASHA (Sanctuary and Safe Haven for Animals) Farm
is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and the mid-west's largest farm animal sanctuary. They not only provide food and water, veterinary care and a roof over their heads, they also give the animal residents lots of love, social interaction with others of their own species, and a sense of security. Tara Farm Rescue
Located in Coventry, Connecticut, the Tara Farm Rescue was started in 1982 by Bonnie Jeanne Gorden who has dedicated her life to easing the suffering of animals. Originally started as a home for unwanted horses, Tara Farm Rescue has expanded and now unwanted, neglected and abused cows, pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats, dogs and cats are taken in, rehabilitated, and when possible, placed in adoptive homes.
