Customer Stories and Helpful Advice About Ducks & Geese

Recommended Books for Geese

I educated myself greatly by means of 3 books: Duck, There's a Goose in the house by Nancy Townsend, The Book of Geese by Dave Holderread, and Domestic Geese by Chris Ashton. It covers every aspect of raising geese including their behavior. The folks on this website really fill in the blanks for me, as the books can't possibly cover every situation and their input and advice has really helped me out tremendously as well as they are quite a support for the other members in times of sickness and legal crisis. One thing... geese are NOT dogs or cats. They don't reason like them, they can't be disciplined like them and they love us like no other. Emotionally they are very sensitive, they have excellent memories, they're extraordinarily smart and thrive on peace and tranquility. I would urge you to educate yourself by means of , particularly Nancy Townsend's book and Chris Ashton's book. (The Book of Geese was good, but most of us are not interested in geese for butchering, processing, cooking ect...) The other two are especially helpful. Knowledge is power. The more you understand about your lovely companion, the better you will be able to enjoy each other.
