We are in the thick of it. This May we are shipping thousands of ducklings and goslings weekly from both our Memphis and California Hatcheries to customers all over the United States. With all the hatching going on, you can definitely tell that spring time is in the air! Peruse our newsletter and learn more.

GOSLING AVAILABILITY
MARCH THROUGH JULY

The month of May marks the smack dab middle of gosling season. Typically, we hatch goslings between the months of March and July with supply tapering off quickly after that. While many of our specialty breeds already sold out or low in production, we do still have a good supply of African, Embden & White Chinese available for ordering. Our African and White Chinese availability even extends well in August which is exciting.

Recognize this above photo from our website homepage? This is Joel Brasier, one of our winners from our 2021 Metzer Farms Photo Contest and he is shown here with his goose, George.

You might remember Joel & George. Joel is a combat veteran, and he credits his buddy George with helping him get through tough times. Joel recently reached out to us with an update on how things are going. Joel writes, "George’s and my adventures together continue to grow. I wrote a children’s book about the two of us. We helped each other through difficult times, and I felt a strong calling to help children that are being bullied."

The title of Joel's new book is A Boy and His Goose. It is set to be released on May 23, 2023 on Amazon and Barns & Noble. A Boy and His Goose talks about the topics of anti-bullying, self-love, and true friendship. It serves as a reminder to both children and parents that good can arise from areas where it is least expected.
