EXCITING NEW BREED!
New for 2024, Metzer Farms is now offering Call Ducklings for sale. These adorable duck companions are perfect for anyone looking for the fun of duck ownership in a small, compact size. We were honored to purchase this flock from Emily at Johnson’s Waterfowl who is retiring this year and we are privileged to continue her legacy, offering high quality Call Ducks. Thank you Emily for your many years dedicated to this breed.

We have seven different colors of call ducklings that you can choose from, or save money and get a variety of at least two colors with our Assorted Call Ducks. Call Ducks are perfect for the hobbyist that wants beautiful and charming ducks but has little space.

A NEW CHICKEN ADDED TO THE MIX
Introducing our prolific Brown Egg Layer Chicken! These hens are known for their impressive ability to produce a bountiful supply of delicious, brown-shelled eggs, making them a must have for any egg-loving household or farm. Enjoy a steady supply of fresh, nutritious eggs with these hardworking and reliable feathered friends.

The Brown Egg Layer will provide you at least 240 eggs in the first 40 weeks of production and the average egg weight is 63 grams. These chickens will start with egg production at just 19 weeks of age. This is a quick turn around time from chick to egg producing hen.

BENEFITS OF BROWN EGGS:

Brown eggs aren't just visually appealing, they also offer numerous benefits:

Nutrient-Rich: Brown eggs just like their white egg cousins have high nutritional value compared to other sources of protein. They are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.

Delicious Flavor: Many foodies claim that home grown (laid) eggs have a richer and more robust flavor than store bought eggs, making them a favorite choice for baking and cooking.

Happy Hens: These brown sex link chickens are great for free range pasture raising.

These quail are popular for their excellent production of delicious, nutritious eggs. They are known for their rapid growth and ability to start laying eggs at seven weeks of age, making them a common choice for backyard and commercial quail farming.

Coturnix Quail are originally from the Middle East but the Japanese have done a great deal of selection to improve egg production. Quail are remarkable birds known for their prolific egg laying, quick growth, and ease of care. Recently Coturnix Quail have been gaining popularity among backyard poultry hobbyists, homesteaders, and farmers for several reasons:
