Here is a little background on GoodEgg: Founders, Bryce and Amy Van Leuven, have an incredible story. They purchased ducks from Metzer Farms and started raising them a couple years ago due to Amy's food sensitivity to chicken eggs, and they quickly realized how dirty duck eggs can be. They looked online for a brush to clean them and couldn't find anything designed specifically for cleaning eggs. So, they made one! It's an amazing food-grade silicone brush with over 650 scrubbing nubs that perfectly contours to the shape of an egg. They also created a foaming enzyme cleanser that breaks down the backyard nest nasties without penetrating the shell. So cleaning muddy, mucky, duck eggs has never been easier. Just a few swipes around the egg and you've got clean eggs ready for the frying pan, cookie dough mix, or whatever you'd like to bake.

GoodEgg also donates 10% of their profits to individuals and families affected by cancer due to their founder Amy's personal story. Prior to launching their company Amy was diagnosed with stage-4 breast cancer while pregnant with their second daughter. While she was born healthy and happy, and Amy's currently in remission this experience opened the door for an opportunity to give back directly to those affected by cancer.

Metzer Farms really likes this product, and we want to support this very cool family. We think you will too! The good news is that with the coupon code METZER15OFF you can. CLICK HERE to visit the GoodEgg website where this code can be applied at check out.
Speaking of egg laying, are you curious about which of our ducks are best for egg laying? We've got three types that are exceptional in the egg laying department. These ducks are known for their high egg laying volume with some laying up to 290 eggs per year. That's a lot of eggs!
WHITE LAYER DUCKS
This is great egg laying duck developed here at Metzer Farms! This duck is for customers looking for high egg production from a white feathered duck. White Layers can produce close to 290 eggs per year.
GOLDEN 300 HYBRIDS
The Golden 300 Hybrid is also a high egg laying duck proudly developed at Metzer Farms as well. This duck lays an equivalent number of eggs to the White Layer and it is known to be calmer than the Khaki Campbell. Golden 300 females range in appearance from light brown to dark brown and some have white patches.
KHAKI CAMPBELL DUCKS
Recognized for their exceptional egg laying capabilities, the Khaki Campbell is a great choice for those seeking a reliable source of fresh eggs. Khaki Campbells produce up to 240 eggs per duck per year and they are also a Heritage breed making them even more special.

We asked and you delivered! In last month's newsletter issue we asked our Metzer Farms Customers what brand of home incubator they recommended for hatching fertile duck eggs. The responses we received were great! Thank you everyone who participated. We compiled the results into a new blog detailing some personal home incubator recommendations. The above link is what we came up with.
We recently came across some older blogs we had listed on our site from as far back as 2016. After reviewing them, we were reminded how great the information was in these blogs so we quickly updated them and reposted them on our site. We wanted to remind you they are here for the reading!

These below 5 Blogs all specialize in different areas related to the preparation needed in anticipation of the arrival of your new ducklings. All have to do with needs prior to picking your ducklings up at the post office.
